Walking along the minor single track road from the house heading east is the settlement of Nostie, which has a lovely bay, the western edge of is where our house is situated.

There is a network of paths in a woodland, and there is a viewpoint with a bench with fine views of the Five Sisters of Kintail. The village of Nostie has some interesting older cottages, some being restored, and a river flows out into the bay. It is easy to walk along the grassy shore either side of the river to the water's edge where there is an interesting spit of land and tidal islands when the tide is out.
